Creative Industries Evaluation: Term 01 2011 - Dance Video

Synopsis
My dance video was a dance based on jerking and Dougie which is a freestyle dance movement. Also known as a street dance, the dance itself consists of moving your legs in and out called the "jerk" and incorporating other moves such as the "reject", "dip", and "pin-drop". People who dance the jerk usually wear skinny jeans varying from the unusual to the usual colours and considered a rejection of the baggy pants style. Many elements of scene and the raver are used in the jerkin' movement, such as bright coloured clothing, tight pants or novelty graphic tees.
 Evaluation of Film Progress
Introduction:
Has your film been edited to engage the audience initially and to establish the tone of the piece?
yes i agree my film has been edited to engage an audience's perspective.

What are you going to do to engage the audience? Describe the sounds, lighting, shot types and effects that fit with the genre of your film and how you will incorporate these at the start of your film.
The music is the most important choosing the right music for a jerk dance is very important as it connects the dancer to the type of music presented. The effects used were moving the camera in and out and mainly focusing on their feet and arm movements. The genre for this film is Dance.

Have you included credits at the start or end of your film?
What information should be included here?
I had included credits both start and finish but my video would delete every lesson.

Editing techniques
Have you created links between shots and throughout the film to emotionally engage the viewer with your story ( i.e. is your film tied together through theme, colour, story, objects etc?)
